Beauty for the Finding

Twelve years ago, my husband gave me a gift card to a little greenhouse just down the road from our home to celebrate the arrival of the littlest member of our family.

Our littlest was with us that day as we picked out a few foxglove plants for the garden. He helped dig deep holes for those stunning flowers and watered them well so their roots could grow strong and last long.

Little did we know we’d be moving away just a year later, heading to the Midwest for a season. We bid a fond farewell to that home—the home where our little three ran this way and that.
Seasons came and went. Somehow, twelve years have passed since we first laid eyes on those foxgloves at the greenhouse. Littlest isn’t so little anymore. And somehow, here at our New England home, foxgloves have once again graced us with their beauty, gently reminding us that beauty is there for the finding from one season to the next.
